The first thing I have heard from most people about this new canon, is that they are not impressed that Canon released it with only 18MP compared to the 21MP 1DS MK3. Reports claim that although Canon has done that, the pixels are actually bigger and tighter together. This actually should give it the same resolution as the previous 21 MP MK3.

As well the 1DX will come with a second Digic 5 processor dedicated to filtering noise and fringing, leaving the initial sensor to record....very quickly 12 fps RAW! It's the noise reduction that is what we are looking for. Hopefully it measures up.

In addition, all this processing power has said to have corrected HD VIDEO quality as well. Color artifact and noise in low light conditions and said to be corrected. Hopefully rolling shutter as well, although I cant see this really being an issue.
